Brockport Auxiliary Service Corporation (BASC) on the campus of SUNY College at Brockport welcomes Diane Dimitroff as the new BASC Executive Director
SUNY Brockport's Vice President for Administration and Finance, member of the BASC Board of Directors, and Executive Director Search Committee Chair Lou Spiro said, "Ms. Dimitroff brings substantial auxiliary service experience from higher education and the private sector, and will be a great asset to both BASC and the College. She has great excitement and enthusiasm about leading BASC, and we all look forward to working with her."
Dimitroff's more than 20 years experience in the higher education environment has included positions such as the associate director of university facilities and director of auxiliary operations at the University of Rochester, and vice president for operations for ARAMARK's Higher Education Division. Dimitroff also worked for XEROX Corporation, managing the group that procured and managed facilities and services in North America.
In her most recent position as the vice president for operations at ARAMARK, Dimitroff had financial, strategic, and operational responsibility for a portfolio of 55 college and university facilities services accounts. She managed a team of approximately 500 managers and hourly employees including eight separate collective bargaining agreements, and had a total budget responsibility of $60 million.
As director of auxiliary operations at the University of Rochester, Dimitroff was responsible for the strategic leadership and profitable operation of the self-operated and contracted dining programs, retail operations in the bookstore and computer store, copy services, mail services, vending, parking, graduate housing and ID cards with a cashless campus component. In this position, she led a staff of 350 including approximately 100 members of three separate collective bargaining agreements, and had a total budget responsibility of $40 million.
Dimitroff earned an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY and a BS in hotel management also from RIT. She will officially begin her duties as executive director on August 8.
Dimitroff and her husband, Scott Ghostlaw, reside in Honeoye Falls with their two sons Greg and Dan. Greg is a recent graduate of Penn College of Technology, and Dan attends the University of Rochester.
The Brockport Auxiliary Service Corporation is a non-profit, 501c(3) corporation located on the campus of the State University of New York College at Brockport. BASC is contracted by SUNY Brockport to provide and manage dining services, the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, catering services, laundry services, parking services, vending services and campus ID services to the College. |
