Associate Vice President for Human Resources

I am pleased to welcome Ms. Susan McGarry Basso to Seton Hall University in the position of Associate Vice President for Human Resources. Ms. Basso
most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at East
Stroudsburg University, having achieved over fifteen years of progressively
responsible experience, including the position of Executive Assistant to
the President.

As a senior member of the leadership team, Susan provided strategic,
proactive and innovative leadership and oversight to the University-wide
human resources function, including benefits administration, recruitment
and classification training and development, performance management,
organizational development, safety, employee and labor relations and
payroll.

Her additional experience includes the interpretation and administering of
multiple collective bargaining units and successfully leading a
university-wide ERP implementation while reengineering current business
practices to meet the needs of a new system.

A graduate of the University of Scranton, with a M.S. in Human Resource
Administration and a Bachelors degree from Ursinus College, Susan serves on the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, PMCC Human Resources Committee and has served on the Society for College and University Planning.
